BAHASA MELAYU ONLINE WORKSHOP FOR PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS

This workshop was conducted online via Webex on 21 November 2021 for Bahasa Melayu pre-service teachers.  The purpose of this workshop is to:

1. Provide participants with an understanding of the Concept of Global Citizenship Education.

2. Provide information to participants on strategies to apply the elements of Global Citizenship Education in the planning of Bahasa Melayu teaching in secondary school.

The workshop lasted for 4 hours with a total of 20 participants involved. The workshop is divided into seven activities:

1. Introduction to Global Citizenship Education (PKG)

2. Mapping of elements of Global Citizenship Education with learning themes found in the Curriculum and Assessment Standard Document and Bahasa Melayu Textbook for Primary Secondary Schools

3.   Preparation of Bahasa Melayu Teaching Plan that incorporates elements of Global Citizenship Education

4.   Presentation of a Language Daily Teaching Plan that implements Global Citizenship Education

5.   Provision of teaching aids that incorporate elements of Global Citizenship Education

6.   Presentation of teaching aids that apply the email of Global Citizenship EducatioN

7.   Summary
